About Anita

Choosing a life coach can be hard. How do you know if you’re really going to connect with the image you see on a website?

If you’re thinking about working with me, I have made it easy for you to get to know me!

First, you can read stuff I’ve written on my blog or my self-help book called A Year to Change. I love to write have been published online at Forbes, Inc., Huffington Post, Mamamia, Slate, Quartz, Business Insider, The Independent, and Medical Daily. I also write on Quora and Medium. In 2019, Recovery Village named me as one of the 10 Mental Health Influencers to Follow.

Second, you can listen to the weekly podcast which I co-host, Giving Voice to Depression. Terry McGuire and I interview guests with the lived experience of depression and experts who have ways to help with it. I also do weekly TikTok videos about Hope on the Giving Voice to Depression TikTok account: Giving Voice to Hope.

Also, during the beginning of the pandemic, I was so concerned about how all of our stress levels were skyrocketing and ended up researching “resilience during times of heightened stress” and talking about ways we could all make it through with better mental and physical health on YouTube: SanzPlans.

My background is in the field of mental health. I have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and am a licensed psychologist currently practicing in Florida and now also provide online life coaching. I believe my experience treating eating disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD and C-PTSD, ADHD, and late-diagnosis autism in adults gives me an edge in understanding what my clients are going through.

I have been married to a Special Forces veteran (also a psychologist!) for 24 years, and we have an amazing daughter who is studying to be a performer. I also have two cats who get too much love, if there is such a thing! I am a lover of the whole food plant based lifestyle, growing beautiful flowers, and enjoy spending time in nature every chance I get.

If you connect with what you see and would like to work with me personally, I would love to have the opportunity to help you achieve your goals.
